Ever want to fly a WWII bomber? Why not own one! Air Corps bombers are custom built to resemble classic bombers like the Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress, Consolidated B-24 Liberator, and Avro Lancaster. Each bomber is powered by four 19 HP electric motors, giving an incredible power to weight ratio. This gives impressive performance, including Short Takeoff and Landing (STOL) characteristics.
Each bomber is equipped with a cargo bay for added storage. But it can do much more than that. Load in a few flour “bombs” and prepare to dominate at your next fun-fly competition. The bomb-sight uses camera mounted under the fuselage. Connect your smartphone for a heads-up view of the target.
Don’t have anywhere to practice? No problem! The smartphone app uses GPS maps to create targets and missions. The virtual targets appear in your sight, and the app keeps score of your hits. Fly with friends on missions or compete against them to destroy each other’s base.
The current model falls into the U.S. Federal Aviation Regulations for Part 103 ultralights. Future models will be able to carry two people, one pilot and one crewmember operating the Laser Gunnery System (LGS) in a moving turret. The LGS operates much like other laser-tag systems used by the U.S. military, incorporating realistic sounds muzzle flashes. Other aircraft can also be equipped with the LGS, including single engine ultralights acting as “fighters”. This is a truly immersive air combat experience.
Load up your bomber and ready your crew: it’s time for a mission!
